Google PageRank

with 7 comments

I just noticed that the Google PageRank for my blog has gone up to 4/10! Earlier it was a big zero, but now I think that 4/10 rating is a lot better since even the top blog on WordPress has got 7/10. And I am nowhere even near the fastest growing blogs. How Google PageRank works is of course something that I am not aware about, yet it is good for me!

Microsoft.com has a PageRank of 9/10 while Macromedia.com has got a 10/10. Wow!

What does this PageRank indicate? I am not sure. It is way too much complex.

  1. Well, I think I read somewhere how GPR works…
GPR tracks the web-sites which have link to your blog, now it also tracks the PR of those sites which are linking to you!
Like if a PR9 site is linking to your blog then you will gain more PR than an normal PR0 site linking to you!

Once you understand this PR concept is too easy to get in mind…

  2. Hell. As far as I am aware, very few sites have linked to my blog. And how do you explain the fact that though AtariBoy is among the fastest growing WordPress blogs, yet his PageRank is 5/10?

  3. Because I think he isn’t linked by many sites and yet I have no proof to prove the above thing correct but I read that on many web-pages which were reped, so I thought this would be true.
